BASF’s vegetable seeds business digitizes global action tracking to continuously improve its Responsible Care Management System
Responsible Care is a worldwide initiative of companies in the chemical industry, with the aim of excelling in the field of environment, health and safety. The initiative began in Canada in 1984 and today companies in more than 70 countries apply the Responsible Care Act.
BASF applies Responsible Care in all its divisions, including its vegetable seeds business. Vegetable Seeds standardises the digitisation of its business processes using Icologiq Elements, an all-in-one QHSE global software platform.
Recently Vegetable Seeds developed a uniform system for Action Tracking in Icologiq Elements, which ensures the recording, execution and monitoring of all types of actions in a standardised way globally. Staff and employees thus always have a complete and centralized overview of all outstanding actions with respect to Responsible Care.
Such a uniform approach also promotes the process of continuous improvement and strengthens the focus on Operational Excellence, key elements of Responsible Care.
About Icologiq Elements
All-in-one software platform Icologiq Elements facilitates process innovation from a central point in the organisation. Its goal is to provide organisations with the right tools to solve problems, deal with complaints, implement improvements, implement change in a structured and safe way, measure risks, and ensure that people can work safely everywhere in the organisation.
The software enables companies to get the best out of their people and teams. By automating routine tasks, employees can focus entirely on their main tasks. In addition, the fragmentation of local solutions and spreadsheets is converted into a reliable, transparent platform with which companies cover all their processes related to safety, quality, welfare and the environment.
